Third Laboratory | Press release

The European project WE Frame – Collective Views for Equality continues with its third workshop, entitled “Equality and the Body”, scheduled for Wednesday 15 April 2026 from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm at the Department of Law, University of Ferrara.

The morning session will take place in Lecture Theatre 1C (Corso Ercole I d’Este 32) and, from 1.00 pm, the afternoon session in the Carlassare Hall (Corso Ercole I d’Este 44).

Speakers will include Camilla Caselli, a PhD candidate at the University of Milan, and Luca Marchetti, a senior lecturer at Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3.

The workshop explores the relationship between equality and the body, with a particular focus on the themes of bodily autonomy, representation and the impact of social standards, in relation to fundamental rights.

The initiative forms part of the series of workshops organised by the WE Frame project, which from March to May involves the Department of Law at the University of Ferrara, Officine Europa, Traces&Dreams and C.D.S. Cultura OdV, with the aim of fostering dialogue between the academic world and civil society on issues of equality.

Through this series of workshops, WE Frame creates a space for open dialogue between research, experiences and practices, focusing on the relationships between law, society and individual experiences from the perspective of equality.
