Second Laboratory | Press release

The European project WE Frame – Collective Views for Equality is holding another event in Ferrara: on Wednesday 1 April 2026, it will host its second workshop, entitled “Equality and Power”, scheduled from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm at the Department of Law, University of Ferrara. The day’s events will take place at two venues: at 10.00 am in Lecture Theatre 1C (Corso Ercole I d’Este 32) and, in the afternoon, from 1.00 pm in the Sala Carlassare (Corso Ercole I d’Este 44).

Speakers will include Letizia Palumbo, a researcher at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and Sara Boicelli, a PhD student in “Human Rights: Evolution, Protection, Limits” at the University of Palermo, who will lead the discussion on the relationship between equality and power in contemporary societies.

The workshop forms part of the programme launched on 9 March with the first session dedicated to the theme “Equality and Difference”, which was attended by around forty participants, including students, associations, local organisations, trade union representatives and civil society groups. It was an intense and well-attended day, combining theoretical discussion with group work, which confirmed the interest and engagement surrounding the project’s themes.

The second workshop will also follow the same format, alternating between theoretical discussion and participatory activities, with the aim of gathering contributions, experiences and practices that will help to develop an experimental model for shared analysis of equality issues from a gender perspective.

The series of workshops is one of the core activities of the WE Frame project, which comprises five workshops spread over six days in total, and aims to create spaces for discussion involving civil society and voluntary organisations, representative associations, political groups, the academic world and institutions.

The WE Frame – Collective Views for Equality project, co-funded by the European Union under the CERV programme, involves the Department of Law at the University of Ferrara, Officine Europa, Traces&Dreams and C.D.S. Cultura OdV.
