The session brings together youth workers, researchers, and activists from Erasmus+ projects across Europe. Drawing on the storytelling focus of the <a href=\"https:\/\/futurenarratives.eu\/\">Future Narratives Project<\/a> and the feminist knowledge creation approach of the WeFrame project, <strong>we will explore how \u2018gender\u2019 is negotiated in today\u2019s media landscape and how storytelling can be used to reclaim space for inclusion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Media, from newspapers to YouTube, have a decisive influence on what we think, believe, and act upon. Yet, from an intersectional perspective, media knowledge is often shaped by few influential voices: for instance, women comprise only 30% of quoted experts in European media. <strong>In this environment, stories about gender are rapidly reshaping online spaces, daily interactions and may well shape public policy across Europe<\/strong>. We are seeing resistance to feminist and queer narratives, along with a rise of both longstanding and emerging perspectives such as \u2018tradwives\u2019, \u2018incels\u2019, and \u2018red pill\u2019 movements. There are also narratives in-between, like \u2018crunchy moms\u2019 and &#8216;gender-critical feminists&#8217;, that do not fit easily into right- or left-wing categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Why Join?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Young people now encounter these conflicting ideas both online and offline. Each narrative shapes standards for behaviour, belonging, and recognition. As professionals, how do we help youth safely and critically engage with these polarising stories? As activists, what stories do we reinforce? This panel talk offers <strong>insights from across the EU<\/strong>, focusing on storytelling as a means of navigating polarising debates and supporting the creation of more inclusive gender narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Attend<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The event is free and open to youth workers, gender researchers, activists, educators, students, and all those passionate about diversity and inclusion. The conversation will be moderated by<strong> Tatiana Migaesi<\/strong> and <strong>Sebastian Mellgren<\/strong> from Traces&amp;Dreams. It will be held in English.
