Through this short poetic documentary we get to meet two people with different backgrounds but with a common denominator being the struggles of homelessness. In an intimate and dark room we as viewers get to explore the Swedish suburb of Vårberg through Caroline, a woman who through the lies of her ex has lost her home and care for her daughters. We also get to meet Gabriel, an energetic person with a tragic background who can’t seem to stop street fighting even though he knows it might affect his relationship with his daughter.
In the heart of Vårberg we find a meeting center run by Stockholm Stadsmission providing support to people in economically or socially vulnerable situations. The social worker Daniel talks us through the works of the place, a place where Gabriel and Caroline are both receiving help..
As the doors of the Meeting center closes and the day turns to night we hear about a typical night for Caroline. A night without a bed and without safety because society has let her down. But their friendship l and the support offers both Caroline and Gabriel the strength to keep on going. At the end of the movie the audience is encouraged to reflect on their own view of homeless people and what they themself can do to make a change.
